A Much Needed Update!

It has been a while since I last checked in with everyone. I left in May to go to Toronto and have been flying ever since (or so it seems that way).
On my way to Toronto, my Mommy and Daddy decided to stop in Miami to give me a break on my first flight. They told me that I was a gem to fly with. They had heard that most baby's sleep on the plane, but not me! I want to know what is going on at all times. I critiqued most of those around me and loved looking out the window. I absolutely loved Miami. Who wouldn't love a place filled with great food, the beach, lots of sunshine, and tons of shopping? I look forward to going back! Then it was off to Toronto.
While in Toronto, I met so many people for the first time, including my other Great-Grandmother, Catherine, and was reunited with Grandma Carolyn, Grandpa Bob, Grandma Karen and Zed. We stayed with Grandma Carolyn and Grandpa Bob while there and I had a great time. It was there that I slept through the night for the first time. I did so many things while I was there (I even went to the infamous Sherway Mall). One of my highlights was my photo shoot with Little Cupcake Photography. I really felt like a star. I cried a little, OK I cried a lot, but that was because I hate being nude and all the woman wanted were nude poses. I mean, I know I'm a hot number, but let's not exploit the fact. Another highlight was meeting my cousin Noah for the first time. Although, I am not sure if he felt the same way. I attempted to suck his fingers, but he seemed a little put off by it. My Mommy and Daddy also took me to my first steakhouse, Jacobs & Co. It was delicious except for the fact that the steak tasted A LOT like my Similac. Weird!
Thanks to everyone who made my first trip to Toronto a special one. I will be back on August 20th to celebrate my Great-Grandmother's 95th birthday where I will be debuting one of my new dresses (I really am my Daddy's daughter).
Now that I have updated everyone on my first trip to Miami and Toronto, I want to update you all on my physical milestones. I have been growing rapidly. I now eat six ounces at a time and sleep from 8:30 PM until 6:00 AM everyday. At my last check up wit Dr. Jacobs I was 25 inches and weighed in at 13lbs 15ounces. I can do push-ups, well sort of, and I can fully keep my head steady. I can also burp on my own but refuse to when Mommy and Daddy try to make me as I much prefer to fart anyway. I am wearing mainly 6 - 12 month old clothing and love my shades from Auntie Kirsten. My Mommy and Daddy tell me each and every day that I am growing right in front of their eyes and I cannot wait until I can talk and tell them the same thing.=)
I just arrived back from Puerto Rico yesterday where I was told that I could shop until my eyes fell out. I did get some shopping in and picked up a dress or four, a couple sleepers, and some new bibs, but it was certainly no Sherway. Daddy however, did buy and ship a gigantic ride-on lawnmower for all the grass out front. We stayed at the Marriott and it was great! The view from our room was beautiful. The staff at the hotel were so friendly. They were nothing like the staff at the Marriott here in St. Kitts. I became friends with a lovely man named Gustavo. He brought oatmeal with fresh fruit and brown sugar every morning and even brought me a crib (which of course I didn't sleep in) and a microwave for my bottles. We had room service for about 13 out of 16 meals as I was not too fond of leaving the hotel room. As you will notice from the photos, we had a stroller built for bigger kids (the smallest one we could find) and I just didn't feel comfortable. We ordered in Mexican one night and Mommy and Daddy loved it (again, didn't even offer me a bite). We went to the Plaza Las Americas on several occasions (thanks Dad!) and spent one day in Old San Juan which was absolutely beautiful - cobblestone roads and tiny, narrow streets lined with shops and restaurants. We arrived home at 1:30 PM on the 15th which also happened to be Father's Day - a very special day in our house as it was my Daddy's first! Daddy, I love you more and more each day and appreciate all you give me each and every day. I also want to give a shout out to Eric for the delicious Father's Day pizza!
I have already said too much so I am off to take a much needed nap. I promise to update this more frequently. It is just so hard to find the time.
Adios para ahora!

I'm leaving on a jet plane!!!

Hello everybody, I've been a very busy girl and thus have not been able to update everyone in a while. I have been spending a lot of time at the Marriott pool and beach and swallowing more wind than I can handle. More importantly, I have been sleeping more and more each day. Even more importantly, my Mommy and Daddy tell me that I am going to be going on a plane to a far away place that in the future I will call home. Now I am only four weeks old so future to me might be a little different then it is to them. In either case, I don't think that they would mind.
I am going to be on a world wind tour. My Daddy tells me that we have five days and about 25 things to do. We have to go to the dentist, doctor, hair dresser, masseuse, chiropractor, a few restaurants, a mall, not one but two Mothers Day events, visit with cousins from both sides of the family, meet all of my uncles and aunts and that is just to name few. My parents must not remember the fact that I like to sleep a lot. Considering my Mommy has "napping gear" I am shocked we are this busy!

I cannot wait to meet everyone and show off my tan and Kittitian accent. We will all meet soon and I will finally find out who is clogging up my Grandmothers phone every morning.

Oh Happy Day!

Today is a very special day - it is my Daddy's 28th birthday! Talk about over-the-hill! What can I say about my Daddy? We have not known each other very long, but there is no one that I love more. From the day I entered this world, I knew that we had a special bond. He is the only person who can calm me down from a screeching cry, and he is way better at burping me than my Mommy is (she is not as "heavy-handed" as they say in the UFC).
He and I spend most nights together. We have our own routine. I start to coo, and he jumps (sort of) out of bed to feed me and then we go downstairs and turn on the TV. I fall asleep on his chest and then he quietly takes me back upstairs and puts me to bed. Sometimes, just to bug him, I coo a little more so he thinks that I am ready for round two (I'm not, but I love to hear that heavy breath).
Normally, most days and nights are about me, but today is about my Daddy. I love you and appreciate you more than you'll ever know and once I am able to string the words together, I will tell you everyday how much this is all true.
I am so lucky to have you as my Daddy and cannot wait for the many more birthdays that our new little family will be celebrating together.

Happy Birthday Daddy!

xoxo
Your precious daughter

I'm a model, you know what I mean.

Well hey, it has been a long time and I have been keeping busy. I have gone out for dinner to Circus Grill, gone to Stonewalls for lunch and have now visited my very first beach. As Zed always says "Busy, Busy, Busy."
We went to Circus Grill with "The Neighbours" from Canada and all I can say is BIG HAIR, wow. They were very nice though and even gave me a gift. The night went smoothly and I was very well behaved for Mommy and Daddy. I instead took it out on them that night. Overall rating - 7/10*.
Next was Stonewalls. I met Chef Neil at the hospital as he brought my Mommy breakfast one morning and sent her flowers for going through this so called "labour" process. Neil was nice but smelt a little funny (like someone who works in a kitchen!). Everyone was toting Stonewalls as this great restaurant with a very nice atmosphere and it was. The only thing is that Neil AKA "Creme" tried to serve me breast milk with cream and when I refused, decided to follow it up with formula and cream, man french cooking has gone to his head. Overall rating - 8/10*.
Today I journeyed to the beach with my Mommy and Daddy and Kadie and Zed. The day was beautiful and I could not have asked for more. I let them know right away that I was in charge of everything by making everyone take turns rocking, feeding, changing and cuddling me (I am so cute that I don't think anyone knew that it was a part of my master plan). I was very excited as it was the big debut of me in my swimsuit (something I know many boys my age have been awaiting!). Not to toot my own horn, but I looked HOT! The only downfall of the beach were that these woman kept asking me if I wanted a massage. No offense, but I only do spas. Overall rating - 9.5/10
I wanted to take the time out and tell my oh so cute cousin Noah, congratulations for turning one month. I read on Auntie Kirsten's blog all about it and I was really happy to hear that all is well across the pond. Rumour has it, that we will soon be meeting - Can't wait! And by the way, love the shades!

Six days old and 'tude to boot.

Hi World it is me again, little Princess Calleigh. I am officially six days old and have the attitude of a twelve- year-old pageant queen. My sleeping patterns are all over the place, not like I need my beauty sleep but it is taking its toll on Mommy and Daddy. I sleep pretty much all day but I can't seem to get my nights right. Is it my fault that I like to eat? Just take a look at my Daddy, do you blame me? I believe that I am starting to enjoy the look on their faces at 11 pm, 12:15 am, 1:30 am, 3:45 am, and 5 am, especially when the cats begin making noise at every opportunity in between these times.

Every morning at 5 am Daddy and I go downstairs and watch Sports Center. I only make it about five to ten minutes as the old man doesn't know that I am a girl and don't like sports. Hmmm maybe that is his plan. Anyway, after this we go down to Grandma Karen's and I get to expose her to the LLLAAAAAA's. I really enjoy going to Grandma Karen's and watch her try to get me to sleep and stop the LLLAAAAAA's. She puts me on my stomach, my back, her shoulder, across her waist and she even tries the soother thing, LOL. I do love Grandma Karen tons but she is so gullible. However, she did buy me this swing that I absolutely love. However, I think my Mommy and Daddy love it more! I wonder why!?

Although I put my Mommy through an endless amount of diaper changes, I love her so much and cannot thank her enough for everything. My Daddy told me about my entrance into the world, which I thought was pretty scary, but am so super duper appreciative for. My Mommy also wakes up with me and feeds me at all hours of the night an day even though she is in so much pain (apparently childbirth takes a lot out of a person - I don't see it) and is so tired. I love her to death but that does not mean that I will not continue to be a little poop stain for the rest of my life.

Thats all for now, bye.
